BONHEUR

Luring the savviest sweet-tooth clientele with artisanal tastes and treats, BONHEUR, from Bluepoint Hospitality Group, brings a welcomed burst of sweetness to the charming downtown of Easton, Maryland. With designs inspired by Chanel, BONHEUR is equal parts posh and piquant. The ice cream flavors are varied, delicious, and constantly changing – as each of the dozen flavors are made on-site daily. The egg custard base is made in small batches — an ideal slate for a host of elevated flavors, such as Roasted Strawberry Ice Cream which utilizes whole strawberries roasted with maple syrup and butter for a more concentrated strawberry flavor that can be tasted in the dense, chewy strawberry chunks throughout the ice cream. With four pies, including Apple Streusel, Coconut Custard, Lemon Meringue, and a rotating seasonal selection, BONHEUR’s homemade confections are rounded out with cooling and creamy soda floats, milkshakes, and specialty indulgences, like the Warm Chocolate Served with3 Cookies. Dessert and design devotees, alike, find refuge in the stunning space – exquisite details, such as the matchless and vibrant hand-painted Spring Orchard wallpaper by Gracie, take this dessert destination to the next level. Whimsical touches, like the pleated sunset-gold lampshades that hover over the banquets, resembling a woman’s dress, and the colorful elephants that adorn the powder rooms, make BONHEUR a superb sight to be seen. After all, in response to the paramount question posed by ELLE Décor, “Is BONHEUR the chicest ice cream shop in America?” – well, in fact, yes it is.
