Wylder Tilghman Island

Upwards of three thousand residents nest on Tilghman Island, on Maryland's Eastern Shore, and have witnessed an extensive renovation - after the iconic Harrison’s Chesapeake House was acquired in October 2017 by Wylder Hotels. The former establishment was an enclave for professional sports stars and politicos, including Ronald Reagan, George Bush, and Bill Clinton to enjoy chartered fishing expeditions, and an escape to revel in Eastern Shore architecture harbor side bars, and an all-around waterside retreat. Guests came for the scenic views and camaraderie amongst those who had the similar passion for all things on the water. Wylder Hotels’ incarnation embraces the history and builds on the legacy with an understated elegance and modern amenities guests expect at a contemporary, lifestyle boutique hotel.

The expansive 100-year-old, wood-shingled property boasts sweeping verandas and exclusive porches, and is located on nine acres positioned on the waterfront of the Chesapeake Bay. It is punctuated with 54 all-new crisply appointed guest rooms, two casual restaurants under the leadership of Executive Chef Sean Wheaton - an alum of José Andrés' ThinkFoodGroup,  a newly constructed saltwater pool, three bars mimicking a tropical and crab shack ambiance, recently manicured grounds, 1100 feet of waterfront, and 25 boat slips.
