Misi Cooney joined simoneink in 2015 shortly after graduating from the University in Richmond. Prior to graduating, Misi worked as an intern with the public relations agency RF Binder assisting on client accounts including Talenti Gelato and Dunkin’ Donuts. As an intern Misi developed skills in social media management, pitched targeted reporters in local and national markets, and helped organize and oversee media events. Additionally, Misi spent the summer of 2013 interning with the Meredith Corporation supporting the marketing and sales teams of Everyday with Rachel Ray, Fitness, and EatingWell magazines.
In college, Misi was selected to be a member of University of Richmond’s sophomore scholars in residence program. As a participant in the program Misi coordinated fundraising efforts for a clean water initiative benefiting the microfinance organization, Esperanza International, located in the Dominican Republic.
As the Senior Account Director at Simoneink, Misi provides support in developing and executing client and media related initiatives for local, regional and national accounts. Additionally, as the Senior Coordinator for Pro Bono Initiatives, Misi organizes and helps to oversee Simoneink's participation in projects like the Human Rights Campaign annual Chefs for Equality gala as well as client participation in consumer, industry, and media facing festivals and events.
When she’s not in the office you can find her trying out the newest spin studio, looking for the perfect record to add to her vinyl collection, or visiting friends and family in her hometown of sunny Sarasota.
