Associate Account Director

Campbell Rawlins was hired at simoneink, llc in October 2017, shortly after moving to Washington, DC from his home in Massachusetts, where he had spent the last year attending a graduate program in journalism at Boston University.

After graduating from the University of Vermont in 2013, Campbell moved west to Jackson Hole, Wyoming and fell in love with the hospitality industry. He spent three years working as a manager and server for Fine Dining Restaurant Group before deciding to return home to Boston to pursue his passion for writing. While in graduate school, Campbell worked for 2017 James Beard semifinalist for Outstanding Restaurateur, Garrett Harker, at Row 34, an acclaimed oyster and craft beer focused restaurant in Boston.  He focused most of his graduate work on food, restaurants, and hospitality, publishing several stories. Campbell was awarded a 2017 Bookbuilders of Boston Scholarship and was a 2017 Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting student fellow.

Trained in journalism but experienced in hospitality, Campbell brings a fresh perspective to simoneink with a heavy focus on writing and pitching. He is responsible for developing press-worthy pitches, strategically sharing them with the media, and facilitating day-to-day media relations for his clients across the country.

Campbell is a lover of travel, food, and adventure. Outside of the office you can find him searching out the newest brewery, scheming up his next trip to Latin America, or cooking for friends and family.
